From LA to L.A.

On the weekend of February 21-23, the McNeese State University Forensics Team traveled to Los Angeles, CA to compete in the Western States forensics tournament, hosted by California State University Long Beach.  Many returning competitors traveled, as well as first-time competitor Ty Newcomb.

First year competitor Kyla Standley earned a 4th place finsih in Dramatic Interpretation.  Stephen Doerfler II also reached the final round of Dramatic Interpretation, finshing 3rd.

McNeese's senior class had an excellent showing, with Davante Lewis and Alex Reinauer placing 4th and 5th respectively in Poetry Interpretation.  Reinauer also earned a 2nd place finsh in Impropmtu Speaking, and Lewis was tournament champion in Extemporaneous Speaking.

The team's next trip is the weekend of February 28-March 2 at Louisiana State University's Mardi Gras Classic.
