McNeese returns to competition for the spring

The McNeese State Speech and Debate Team kicked off their spring competition schedule with their annual trip to St. Louis.  Webster University's Gorlok Gala, a massive tournament that saw 47 schools from 22 different states compete this year, was an excellent venue to start 2015.

Webster University was also where past meets present each year, as Webster forensics coaches, Scott and Gina Jensen, spent time at McNeese as well and are significant figures in McNeese forensics.

The competition was fierce, but competitors Morgan Authement, Bree Lee, Ty Newcomb, and Kyla Standley represented Louisiana well in Missouri.

This week, the Pokes will rest up and prepare for the Spring Texas Intercollegiate Forensics Association (TIFFA) tournament to be held on February 6th and 7th.
